Baptist Health is committed to increasing supplier diversity in our operations and providing opportunities for diverse suppliers to participate in our strategic sourcing efforts.

We seek to develop valuable relationships with local businesses that are minority-owned, woman-owned, disadvantaged-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, veteran-owned, and small businesses in historically underutilized business zones (HUBZones).

To support the growth of diverse business opportunities, the Baptist Health Supplier Diversity Program promotes the following practices:

Inclusion
Utilizing best practices to infuse supplier diversity into all stages of the procurement process.

Strategic Sourcing
Identifying certified Minority, Women, Veteran, or LGBTQ+-owned businesses and verifying that they have the experience and expertise to satisfy our business needs.

Business Development
Providing minority and women-owned businesses access to education and other resources to effectively compete for contracts, in collaboration with local and state agencies, and organizations in the communities we serve.

Tier 2
Encouraging our network of suppliers, contractors, and consultants, to make good faith efforts to subcontract certified Minority, Women, Veteran, or LGBTQ+-owned businesses.

To be eligible for our program, suppliers must provide proof of certification from any one the following organizations:

• City of Jacksonville: Jacksonville Small and Emerging Businesses (JSEB)
• Duval County Public Schools
• JTA
• Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC)
• Small Business Administration (SBA) - North Florida District
• Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
• Disability: IN
• State of Florida, Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD)
• National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, Inc. (NMSDC)
• Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
• National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC)
• National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)
