I have received high quality care at Baptist Primary Care Harbor Place for well over a decade. My Physician, Dr. Butcher has helped me navigate through my senior citizen years. He has identified and treated a few long term maladies that initially impacted my life. He has prescribed medications that allow me to function as close to normal as possibly. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Butcher. He also has the amazing ability to make you feel extremely comfortable during appointments. I can???t conceive of having another primary care Physician. Twice in the last decades i have been treated by NP Fernandez with same day, last minute appointments. She with her wonderful manner and high degree of skill. Helped me get through Covid-19. And a painful badly strained shoulder. Both times I was experiencing a very high degree of discomfort. I am very grateful for her timely treatment. I also would like to note the office phlebotomist! The most gifted individual with a needle I have ever encountered! The office staff consists of a group of outstanding individuals. I guess by now you get my message. I can???t envision getting any better care from any group of medical individuals anywhere.

I think it???s crazy when you go to dr due to pain, obviously have tried over the counter help to no avail and it takes 7- 10 days to get a referral! (Then have to wait to get an appt to get help) two weeks have passed and the weekend is here again. Maybe I???ll get it next week????

I see Maria Fernandez, ARNP and she is always very thorough when I come in reviewing my chart to make sure I've had my mammogram and bone density scans, blood work, etc. I have never felt rushed either. She is also very particular about which medications to prescribe and explains why she feels one may be better than another in my case. The office staff is very friendly as well. My only complaint is a long wait to speak to someone when you call the office. A few days ago I waited over 30 mins. to get someone on the phone. I find this tends to be across the board these days with doctor's offices in general.

My Dr is amazing but it???s really just sat with me wrong when I was sick and I knew I just needed to see anyone cause i needed antibiotics and they couldn???t give me an appt for 2 weeks and said if i need sooner go to urgent care???. Fast forward to this month there???s an improvement I wasn???t well and got an appt the next day so hoping that???s what will stay the same cause I don???t want to leave, after Cardona leaving it was rough but Maria is awesome

They are very friendly and easy to talk to. Dr hernandez is amazing and very good at what she dose. I have been sick a few times and was able to get an appointment asap. The staff is very helpful with answering questions or getting back with the doctor about questions you might have. I would highly recommend this location.

My most recent experience with Baptist Primary Care was very disappointing. I don???t know if the office is busy or understaffed, but I did not walk away from my annual check up feeling good. During my physical, I was not asked the usual questions about my health history (alcohol intake, depression screening, any changes to medical conditions, etc.) nor was a med rec completed. Perhaps this is the new procedure, but I started a new medication that I thought would be important for my team to know about. Yet it didn???t come up. I also needed a refill for my current prescription, but because I was not asked about my meds, I forgot to bring it up and had to call a few days later to get a refill. I felt I was having a good conversation with the NP when all of the sudden she abruptly ended it, right at the half hour mark into my appointment. This could have been a coincidence, but I did feel rushed out. Only to have to wait for longer than the time I spent with the NP to get blood work done. The phlebotomist apologized and said that there was a walk-in patient who came for a send out lab that they didn???t even run. When I went to check in to my Baptist Portal to look at my blood work, it was not presented in a cohesive manner. I had to click on every lab result to see what the value was. This was more annoying than anything. In the past, I???ve always received my results on one page. As a Baptist employee, I know the standards that our organization holds us to, and I did not feel they were met at my most recent appointment. As a new primary care location opened up closer to my house, I will likely not be coming back to Harbor Place.

The office was clean, the waiting area had plenty of space and the front desk staff was so incredibly warm. Checking in felt more like I was visiting a spa than a doctor's office! I loved that there is a phlebotomist on site so I didn't have to go to a lab appointment later for bloodwork. Dr. Fernandez was friendly and attentive, I feel like she gave me good advice for improving my general health and I will absolutely visit her when I have any specific health concerns in the future.

BPC Harbour Place isnt taking new patients so I cant recommend them to my friends or family. HOWEVER, if they WERE taking on new patients, I would recommend them to everyone I know because Maria Fernandez is the best. The front desk staff is always courteous and professional. I am moving my 84 year old mother in with me and I wanted to bring her to BPC Harbour Place but I can't.
