Job Summary

We're hiring a Cash Application Specialist I for the Single Billing Office in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position located at Baptist Metro Square.

The Single Billing Office is seeking a Cash Application Specialist I to support their team. The candidate will support our Correspondence Team by scanning documents and indexing them into OnBase.

Shift Details: PRN- as needed, no benefits position. Shift coverage would be Monday - Friday during normal business hours.

Cash Application Specialist I, Single Billing Office, Job Responsibilities:

• Serves as a liaison for the Single Billing Office (SBO) Cash Applications Team within the SBO vertical which includes both hospital and professional cash.
• Processes all daily cash receipts.
• Analyzes the remittance to ensure payments are posted accurately.
• Reviews & reconciles undistributed and other payment error queues.
• Uses patient pay credit balance queues to apply credits or process refunds when appropriate.
• Preforms administrative support to process high volumes of correspondence.
• Understands either HB or PB while working toward competency in all areas of the SBO.
• Delivers the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time, related to how the proper handling of cash receipts impacts patients and their families.
