Our Commitment
Baptist Health cares about providing an accessible digital experience to all, regardless of ability. This includes maintaining websites and apps that are compatible with assistive technologies, which help people who have visual, hearing or other disabilities.
Our Actions
We have adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A+AA as our guide for ensuring our web content is usable by all. We are working to ensure all our websites and applications conform with the standards of Section 508 Website Accessibility, which were set forth by the United States Access Board and the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG).
Our accessibility practices include:
- Ongoing accessibility testing and monitoring of our websites
- Dedicated resources for accessibility remediation and improvements
- Engagement of an industry-leading accessibility expert for consulting, monitoring, and certification
This effort is a priority and our work is ongoing.
