Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for the AgeWell Department located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, house calls position for Baptist AgeWell. Our AgeWell team services patients 65+ and is growing rapidly at Baptist! This Certified Medical Assistant will see patients in their homes with an APRN. This position requires a candidate to have their Certified Medical Assisant certification as well as strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and flexibility. An Agewell Certified Medical Assiatant will maintain all medical documentaion during visits and scheduled care, treatment and diagnostic tests on a case by case basis. Phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred.
Shift Details: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Certified Medical Assistant , Baptist AgeWell Department, Job Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
- Maintains medical documentation.
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Travel to patient's homes to preform treatment.
