Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at Baptist Hospital, located in Jacksonville, FL.  This is a full time, day shift, opportunity working Monday through Friday approximately 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This role will support the Infusion Pharmacy and Ambulatory Oncology Clinics.

As the Clinical Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

• Providing safe, evidence-based, cost effective, and patient centered medication management as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviewing and assessing patient medication profiles to ensure safe and appropriate use of oncology medications, including chemotherapy agents, supportive care medications, and other related therapies.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans, monitor therapy outcomes, and make appropriate recommendations for adjustments or interventions as needed. 
•  Providing patients with education about their oncology medications.
• Utilizing pharmacokinetics, dosing calculations, and identifying drug interactions specific to oncology medications.
• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Cert Note: BLS/ACLS/PALS must be obtained with 90 days of hire for those required to participate in Code Blue responses.

A Pharmacist license in the State of Florida is required for hire. A completed PGY1 +/- PGY2 Oncology residency or comparable hospital experience, preferred.
