Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Ultrasound Department at Baptist Town Center. A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images of the bodies organs and tissue. This is a Part-Time position with shift of Saturday & Sunday, 9:30am - 10:00pm. Call and Holiday rotation is required.

Baptist Medical Center South was awarded Ultrasound Acrreditation Program by the American College of Radiology.

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

• Performing high quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Promoting good will among co-workers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Staying compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Identifing, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

Experience

• 1-2 years Hospital Experience
• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience
• Ultrasound Experience
• Experience with vascular ultrasound
• Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Registered Technologist in Sonography ARRT (S) Required Or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Songrapher (ARDMS) Required Or
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Preferred Or
• Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography ARRT (VS) Preferred Or

The new 16-bed emergency center at the St. Johns Town Center houses two emergency centers under one roof - one for adults and one for children.  Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 295 and Town Center Parkway, the Baptist/Wolfson Children's emergency center is a true hospital ER, staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians.  On-site technology includes ultrasound, CT scanner, X-ray, a full service laboratory and telemedicine consultation services.
