Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Director, Medical Staff Services to join the Medical Affairs administrative team.  This is a full-time opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintains policy regarding management, access and distribution of credentialing, privileging, and peer review information in accordance with record retention and confidentially requirements.
  • Coordinates with quality department to ensure facilitation of focused professional practice evaluations (FPPE) and ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE).
  • Coordinates medical staff disciplinary actions (i.e., Executive Committees and Investigations).
  • Facilitates due process and fair hearings in accordance with appeals policy, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as the activity director for the annual physician leadership retreat including planning and execution of all logistics and operations associated with same.
  • Oversees physician special events as needed (i.e. Past Presidents Dinner) including contract negotiations and all logistics.
  • Manages the triennial physician satisfaction survey including contract negotiations, data file, survey delivery & communication, results analysis and presentation to leadership.
  • Continuously evaluates work process and design.
  • Understands role in ensuring quality/performance improvement, productivity, and service delivery to meet stakeholder needs.

**  Must have Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) 

**  Prior experience developing Medical Staff Bylaws and Medical Staff Rules and Regulations Required

**  Prior experience with planning Medical Staff events Required
