Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time Night shift opportunity.

The Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for:

  • Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living
  • Maintaining a safe environment
  • Collecting lab specimens
  • Intake and Output monitoring
  • Electronic medical record documentation
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Required Or
  • Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required Or
