Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Health Unit Coordinator in our PACU/Surgical Services Department at our Baptist Clay location in Fleming Island, Fl.This is a Full-Time days position 40 hours a week Monday -Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

The primary responsibilities of the HUC will be:

  • Utilizing systems and devices for the distribution and dissemination of healthcare services, education, and information
  • Integrating and maintaining video conferencings and or vital/signs monitoring systems for use of assessment, education, and patient care activities
  • Monitoring patient data
  • Performing clerical and secretarial activities of the nursing units
  • Answering call lights and telephones promptly
  • Ordering inventory of unit supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining patient chart folders
  • Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
  • Supporting Nurse Managers

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 1-2 years Experience working in a health care setting

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
