Baptist Health is currently looking for a Histotechnologist to join our Histology department at Baptist Medical Center. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity with a shift of 5:00 am - 1:30 pm.

As a Histotechnologist you will be responsible for: 

• Performs all technical aspects of Histology including: embedding; microtomy; routine and special stains
• Maintenance of all equipment; tissue processors; microtomes; cryostats; automated stainers; and coverslipper.
• Filing of slides and blocks
• Knowledge of LIS functions for accessioning and reporting
• Handles all specimens knowledgeably by consulting with the pathologist

Experience

• 1-2 years Experience in a Histology Lab
• Research Lab Experience
• Medical Technology Experience

License and Certification

• Certified Histotechnician (HT) Preferred
• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred
• Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Preferred
• Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) Preferred
• Licensed Histotechnologist Required
