Lead Accountant, Baptist Southbank

Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Lead Accountant to joing our Finance and Accounting Team at our Southbank Plaza location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• This role prepares internal financial statements
• Assists in preparation of schedules and footnotes to assist in completion of the annual audited financial statements
• Interprets and implements GAAP, and provides advanced analytical, financial, accounting, and compliance support to department and leadership.
• Coaches and mentors team members.
• Can review work performed by other accounting roles as necessary.
• Supervises process flow and month end close activities.
• This position is the highest level of accounting (prior to manager level).
• It requires extensive accounting experience in exercising judgement in interpreting authoritative guidance.
