Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Lead MRI Technologist to our MRI department at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time position working Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:30pm. At Baptist, our lead MRI Technologist is a working leadership position who will be responsible for both quality and quantity of MRI procedures being performed. Staff training & development as well as evaluations on both personnel and equipment are expected. The ideal candidate will have both inpatient and outpatient experience as well as experience in the ER. 

As the Lead MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Working in a leadership position.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of procedures performed in MRI.
  • Assists in equipemt evaluations, insures staff compliance with Employee Health and Mandatory Education requirements.
  • Orient new employees to the department.
  • Payroll and timekeeping.
  • Creating staff work assignments and schedules.
  • Direct involvement with annual performance evaluations.
  • Performing verbal disciplinary review and documentation.
  • Participate and operate budget and planning.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Acting patient liason.

  • 3-5 Years Experience working in a hospital setting
  • 3-5 Years MRI Technologist Experience
  • None Imaging Experience
  • None Experience in Radiology Department
  • None Customer Service Experience

License and Certification

  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Required Or
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required Or
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required Or
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required Or
