We are looking for Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Main Operating Room at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This Lead Surgical Technologist position will be a full-time days position. This is a Lead Surgical Technologist position supporting our Urology and GYN teams. 

 

As a Lead Surgical Technologist for the Main OR, your responsibilities include:

  • Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
  • Anticipates needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepares accordingly
  • Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
  • Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
  • Acts as resource for new Surgical Techs
  • Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program  
  • OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTA or NCCT required
