Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Lead Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to our Pediatric Ultrasound Department at our Wolfson Children's Hospital location. This is a Full-time, day shift opportunity working a shift of Monday - Friday, day shift. Call is not required for this position.

As a Lead Diagnostic Medical Sonographer you will be responsible for: 

  • Working in a leadership position while leading a team of sonographers.
  • Ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to hospital protocols.
  • Performs annual team member evaluations.
  • Oversee department scheduling.
  • Ensuring proper coverage and smooth operation and is aware of budget parameters.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic tests and maintaining high levels of patient care.
  • Responsible for quantity and quality of procedures performed in Ultrasound.
  • Assisting in staff training, performance and equipment evaluation, insures staff compliance with Employee Health and Mandatory Education requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining ACR Accreditation's.
  • Identifiing, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

Experience

  • 3-5 Years Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Ultrasound Experience
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Experience with vascular ultrasound

License and Certification

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Sonography ARRT (S) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Vascular Sonography ARRT (VS) Required
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Songrapher (ARDMS) Required
  • Licensed Vascular Technologist Required
  • ARDMS License Required
