Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for the Baptist Heart Specialist office located at Baptist North. The shift for the Medical Assistant position is Monday through Friday.
The primary responsibility of the Medical Assistant is to provide assistance to physicians. This is a back office position. Responsibilities include rooming patients, performing EKGs and assisting providers. Must be able to learn workflow and complete EKGs. Experience is preferred. Open to experience from other specialties.
Additional responsibilities for Medical Assistant may include:
- Obtaining vital signs
- Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical part of visit
- Maintaining medical documentation
- Scheduling care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processing prescription requests and referrals
- Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs

- 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
