Baptist MD Anderson is seeking to add an energetic and dynamic Certified Medical Assistant (MA) for our Outpatient Oncology Clinic in our Head/Neck Unit at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in Jacksonville, FL.

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center combines the clinical breakthroughs of the number one cancer center in America and the full resources of North Florida’s largest and most preferred health system. The responisibilities of this Certified Medical Assistant will include:

  • Providing nursing assistance to the physician and APP.
  • Obtaining vital signs, weights, and heights.
  • Greeting and chaperoning patients as needed during medical visits.
  • Telephone triage and patient education.
  • Maintaining exam rooms, medical documentation, and patient intake to include preparation of charts.
  • Scheduling care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
  • Processing CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
  • Cross training in front office, referral areas, and other areas.

Education Required

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
