Baptist MD Anderson is currently looking for an energetic and dynamic Medical Assistant II to join our Gynecology Oncology Outpatient team at our Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-time Days position with 8-hr shifts Monday through Friday at the Baptist MD Anderson campus downtown. The shift is 8:00 - 4:30 PM and does require travel to our Baptist South and Baptist Beaches campuses as needed.
Nationally recognized certification in Medical Assisting (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required.

Medical Assistant II - Outpatient Oncology Job Responsibilities:
- Providing nursing assistance to physician
- Obtaining vital signs
- Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical visit
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education
- Maintaining medical documentation and patient intake, including charts
- Preparing medical equipment for sterilization and assisting with clinical procedures including preparation of sterile fields
- Collecting and preparing lab specimens and assisting with procedures as directed
- Scheduling care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician
- Managing clinical equipment and supply inventory
- Serving as a liaison between physicians and other clinical members
Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
Education Preferred
Associate's Degree
Experience
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
License and Certification
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
