Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Airport Center Drive in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is for Baptist Primary Care Airport Center Drive. The candidate’s responsibilities will include front office tasks, such as assisting with answering calls, scheduling patients, medication prior authorizations, and previsit charting. The candidate will also fill in rooming/working up patients to cover other Medical Assistants. At least one year experience is preferred.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 2 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
