Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Dunn in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is located at Baptist Primary Care Dunn. The office has 4 providers. The candidate's primary responsibilities will be front desk, including check in, check out, scheduling appointments, handling cash drawer, insurance verification, update demographic information and completing end of day closing duties. Appointment scheduling experience is a plus.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 2 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
