Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care Regency in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is for the Baptist Primary Care Regency office. This position requires floating between front office, back office and telephone triage/scheduling. The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, assisting provider and obtaining vitals, as well as front office and phone triage/scheduling. Family practice and pediatric experience is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn all areas is essential. Must be able to work one late night per week.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Provides nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 2 years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
