Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN, day-shift opportunity working varying shifts Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, you will be responsible for: 

• Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
• Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilizing computer functions.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 1 year Phlebotomy Experience
• Specimen Processing Experience

License and Certification

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
