Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Technologist to join our team at Baptist Emergency Department St.Augustine! This is a part-time, evening shift opportunity! This candidate will work Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM - 9:30 PM. This Medical Technologist will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors, however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision.

 

As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining the expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
  • Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
  • Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
  • Instructing new employees, MT, and MLT students.

Experience

  • 2 years Medical Technologist Experience

License and Certification

  • Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred Or
  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Preferred Or
  • Licensed Medical Technologist Required Or
  • Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician Required Or
