Medical Laboratory Scientist, PRN, Nights, Baptist Nassau

Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Nassau. This is a PRN, night shift opportunity. This Medical Lab Scientist will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors, however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida before hire.

As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will be responsible for: 

• Maintaining the expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
• Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
• Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
• Instructing new employees, MT, and MLT students. Supervised by Director and Section Supervisors, however, can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision

• Less than 1 year Medical Technologist Experience

License and Certification

• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred
• Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Preferred
• Licensed Medical Technologist Required
• Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician Required
