Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in providing specialized care to pediatric and adolescent patients. This position focuses on Marriage and Family counseling, offering therapy services in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children, adolescents, and families, particularly in marriage and family counseling. This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility with both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual and family therapy for pediatric and adolescent patients, addressing a range of mental health concerns. Provide treatment that is clinically necessary and evidence-based. Complete authorization requests as needed and maintain up-to-date medical records. Maintain state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels. Ability to develop rapport with patients; assess and diagnose patients using DSM criteria; develop a treatment plan; document treatment progress in keeping with Joint Commission standards; efficient use of EMR

As a Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy for pediatric and adolescent patients, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in navigating challenges related to mental health and family relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient and family.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
- Maintaining state professional licensure and credentialing with insurance panels.
- Ability to develop rapport with patients
- Assessing and diagnose patients using DSM criteria
