Job Summary

We are looking to add an Emergency Department Technician II  to our Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-time Nights position, with the shift being from 7 PM to 7 AM. 

The Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for:

  • Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living
  • Maintaining a safe environment
  • Collecting lab specimens
  • Intake and Output monitoring
  • Electronic medical record documentation
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

An active Registered Paramedic license required

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Incident Command system (ICS) 300, 400 Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Paramedic Required
