Patient Access Rep II, PRN, Baptist Oakleaf

Job Summary

*Up to $500 Sign-On Bonus

Baptist Oakleaf is currently hiring for a PRN Patient Access Rep II to join our team at our Baptist Oakleaf location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: PRN Various shifts, must have open availability, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidate might be willing to work at both the Oaklead and Clay campus as needed

As a Patient Access Rep II, you will be responsible for:

• Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information.
• Collect co-payments, self pay deposits, and any other form of account payments from patients.
• Provides face to face customer service while communicating in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the PAS department, while Mission and core values are incorporated and practiced.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Certification
• This position requires analytical and critical thinking, excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Note: *BLS CPR certification required within 30 days of hire for ED positions

Experience

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required

License and Certification

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
