Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Advocate, RN to join the Patient Advocacy Team.  This is a full-time, in-person opportunity covering Baptist Clay, Oakleaf FSED and Nassau. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a liaison for patients during their hospital stay.
  • Welcomes patients and families.
  • Explains procedures, polices and services and responds to non-clinical needs and requests.
  • Acts as key responder to resolve complaints and grievances and is a resource to staff in service recovery situations.
  • Develops and delivers service excellence/patient experience training for all staff and assists leadership with service excellence improvement initiatives.

The Patient Advocate focuses on patient issues that have not been closed while receiving care.  Inpatient service recovery is addressed by the department management as quickly as possible.

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 3-5 Years Patient Advocate Experience
  • Experience working in healthcare setting
  • Experience working with patients and families

License and Certification

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
