Referrals Coordinator, Rheumatology, Baptist South

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Referrals Coordinator for the Baptist Rheumatology Primary Care office located at Baptist South. This position will report to work Monday through Friday.

This position is for the Baptist Rheumatology South office. The Referrals Coordinator for Baptist Rheumatology will provide business services for patients and the healthcare system.

Additional Referrals Coordinator responsibilities may include:

• Tracking referrals to avoid duplications, to ensure completion, and to verify documentation is in EMR
• Provides referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies
• Accurately completing verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carrier
• Registering patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner which reflects the core values of Baptist Health
• Schedules appointments, and processes prescriptions and referrals

Education Required

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• One Year Medical Office Experience Preferred

License and Certification

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Preferred
