Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a part-time night shift position in our Labor and Delivery unit at Baptist Medical Center Beaches.  As a Labor and Delivery RN at Baptist Beaches you will:

  • Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process
  • Organize and supervision care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
  • Include patients and families in developing and individualized plan of care
  • Serve as the patient advocate and responsible for nursing care in newborn nursery and postpartum units including, but not limited to, caring for the antepartum patient, high risk postpartum patient and the mother/baby couplet
  • Uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
  • Less than 1 year Newborn Nursery Experience
  • Less than 1 year Mother/Baby Nursing Experience

License and Certification

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Registered Nurse Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (RNC EFM) Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
