Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking to add an experienced Oncology Pharmacy Technician in our Pharmacy department at Baptist MD Anderson South Infusion Center. This is a Full-time, Day shift opportunity. This technician will work Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, and be able prioritize and manage their own workload and schedule. This candidate must be comfortable wearing full PPE and being on their feet, along with having high attention to detail. This candidate must have atleast 1-2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience. In this role, you will be maximizing your licensure and working at the highest level within a Pharmacy Technician profession.
As an Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Pharmacist on duty.
- Compounding of IV admixtures.
- Filling of automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.
- Basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.
- Packaging of medications.
- All activities will be under the supervision of a Florida-licensed Pharmacist.
In addition to the duties of a pharmacy technician, this position requires competency and experience in IV admixture and chemotherapy preparation (USP 797 and USP 800) while working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
