Job Summary

The Sr. Physician Recruiter will leading the full-cycle recruitment process for physician and Advanced Practice Providers. This position will report to the Executive Director of Physician & Provider Recruitment and will assist in creating and establishing a physician/provider recruitment plan and strategy for Baptist Health Medical Group. This position will work in partnership with business development, provider integration, service line clinical and administrative stakeholders for the purpose of meeting all providers’ staffing needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert and advisor to service-line stakeholders; able to articulate industry trends based on position needs and lead time to recruit.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in creating customized outreach and sourcing strategies to target hard-to-fill positions; able to further elevate and refine sourcing strategies to maximize exposure and physician recruitment methods.
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with targeted residency/fellowship programs and developing a strategy to enhance the recruitment pipeline.
• Keen ability to evaluate and assess candidates’ clinical knowledge, skills and ability; ensure candidates meet the clinical professional and cultural requirements for the service line.
• Experience facilitating physician/APP offers and negotiations; knowledgeable of physician/APP compensation models based on position needs; able to lead contract /offer negotiations in partnership with legal and finance when needed.
• Provide mentorship, guidance and support to physician recruiter colleagues.
• Experience facilitating the recruitment of J-1/H-1B visa candidates; knowledgeable of legal compliance requirements.
• Participate in the development and execution of physician/provider recruitment strategies and work plans to achieve planned growth.
• Attend and execute on-site candidate interviews; lead all aspects of coordinating candidate onsite interview (itinerary, flight, hotel, transportation) to ensure optimal experience.
• Experience working with outside search agencies (e.g. locum, retained, contingency).
• Experience developing recruitment KPI reports and utilizing ATS/HRIS/CRM systems.
• Able to attend career fairs, conferences, and sponsored recruitment events as needed.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

*Certified Physician and Provider Recruitment Professional must be obtained within the first 12 months of hire.

Experience

• 5+ years of Physician Recruitment Experience is required.
• Experienced in recruiting physicians/providers across a variety of specialty areas, with the ability to leverage expertise and judgment to achieve recruitment goals.
• Strong acumen in physician recruitment and hospital operations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on building professional relationships.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in problem-solving, data analysis, and preparing clear, concise, and grammatically correct written reports, letters, memoranda, and other documents.
• Skilled in independently planning, organizing, prioritizing, scheduling, and coordinating tasks, while making informed decisions regarding responsibilities.
• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to meet job requirements and deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of the Windows operating system (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and the use of the internet for job postings and recruitment activities.
