Job Summary
Baptist Health is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician with at least 2 years of experience to support our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a short-term contracted position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. This is a Full-time Days position. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:
- Understanding principles of sterilization
- Wrapping instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization
- Ability to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
- Ability to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
