Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist South. This position is a Full-time Nights opportunity, with the shift times being from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday. Call is required for this position.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:

  • Understand principles of sterilization.
  • Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
  • Able to prioritize duties.
  • Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
  • Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays

Sterile Processing Technician - Education and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certified Sterille Processing Techncian (preferred - not required)
  • 1-2 years Instrument Experience
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Protocols

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 1-2 years Experience in a prep and sterile area
  • 1-2 years Instrument Experience
  • Linen Processing Experience
