Blue Zones Jacksonville works with residents, worksites, grocery stores, restaurants, schools, civic leaders and faith-based groups to implement best practices and encourage small changes that lead to big improvements in overall well-being over time.

Big Investment. Lasting Impact.

We believe in bringing community and civic organizations together and making strategic investments in projects that are creating real change. Blue Zones is one of those projects committed to improving community health and well-being by transforming people, places and policy. As one of our largest investments to date, we believe in the lasting impact this project will have on our community.

A Catalyst for Change in our Community

Blue Zones came to Jacksonville in November 2019 at the invitation of Baptist Health in support of our vision to make our community an even healthier, happier and more vibrant place to live. We funded the city-wide assessment that provided recommendations for improvements. Now, 5 years later, we’re working together with a strong coalition of public and private partners to support the Blue Zones Jacksonville Blueprint and implementation plan.

Get involved. Anyone can participate!

While the local Blue Zones Project effort is focused on specific, high-need zip codes in Duval County, we believe the same proven approach can be applied throughout our five-county service area. Here are some ways to get involved:
