Job Summary

Baptist Rheumatology is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant who can provide outpatient patient care at the Baptist Rheumatology Southbank (Downtown) campus.

Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-430pm

This APP will often work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to manage patients with a range of rheumatic diseases.

The APP will see follow up patients (18 years old+) with rheumatological conditions that are already established with the practice. Currently, our APPs do not see new patients.

Responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing patient education. They may also perform interventions like joint aspirations and injections.

The clinic is affiliated with Baptist Health and the Baptist Primary Care network, with over 200 physicians and 50 plus outpatient offices spanning five counties and 10 cities in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, and a physician hospitalist team.

Experience

  • Master of Science required
  • Graduate of an ARNP or PA accredited program
  • Rheumatology experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred

License and Certification

  • Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • BLS certification required
