Balinda Brown Biography and Information

Balinda Brown joined Baptist Medical Center in 2019, serving as a chaplain resident for the Downtown campus. In 2021, Balinda became a staff chaplain for Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center serving the oncology outpatient patients, family and team members.

Balinda holds a Bachelor of Business Management, a Master of Divinity and is board certified through the Association of Professional Chaplains. In 2010, she was ordained and fellowships as a Pentecostal associate pastor. Balinda completed her clinical pastoral education at Baptist Health. Before joining Baptist Health, Balinda provided spiritual care services at another local hospital in Jacksonville. Prior to answering the call to chaplain ministry, Balinda spent over 35 years in the banking industry and community service. Balinda is the founder of Healing Hearts, a ministry supporting families of those incarcerated.

Balinda is the mother of two children and four grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach, movie binging and spending time with family and close friends.
