About Me
We are originally from Boston. Previous stops included Maine, Hawaii, Washington DC and Pennsylvania prior to descending on destination Jacksonville. My wife, children and I are outdoor people and the Florida climate suits us well. We love to cook, try new restaurants and share recipes. I enjoy spending whatever free time is left tapping into creative writing.
Physicians interrupt patients every 18 seconds (and probably each other every 18 seconds too). I received some good advice along the way; stop talking after 30 seconds and listen. I continue to make a conscious effort to listen to my patients, caregivers, staff and physician colleagues. Cancer is one of life’s top stressors and turns your world upside down. I will work with you to help ease the internal and external worries associated with your cancer. I have a great interest in serving as your coach throughout your battle with cancer.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. Some of these groups include The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society and other volunteer and not for profit entities. I have shared my experiences with newspapers, magazines, television and radio. Other non-healthcare community activities include supporting local food banks. No one should go hungry.
