Brandon Chapman Biography and Information
David "Brandon" Chapman, MD, MBA, FACS, CPE, joined Baptist Health in May 2024 and serves as the vice president of medical affairs for Baptist Medical Center Clay and Baptist Medical Center South.
In this role, Dr. Chapman focuses on the implementation of patient-centric, effective and streamlined clinical care, liaising between the administration and medical staff at the two hospitals. The role is an integral part of the health system's commitment to a seamless approach to care across the entire network.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Chapman served as the associate chief medical officer and executive medical director of perioperative medicine at Atrium Wake Forest Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, North Carolina, and the associate chief medical officer at Atrium Wake Forest High Point Medical Center in High Point, North Carolina.
Dr. Chapman is a board-certified otolaryngologist, a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from the American Association for Physician Leadership, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomat on the American Board of Otolaryngology.
He received his Doctor of Medicine at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine and completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Chapman received his Master of Business Administration from University of Massachusetts Amherst and his Bachelor of Science in biology from Wingate University.
