Job Summary

Assists the Nurse Manager of the Neuro ICU with unit/area operations. Works closely with direct care personnel to ensure delivery of quality patient care and facilitates patient throughput. Takes lead role in facilitating/implementing process changes, conducts shift quality/safety huddles, and supports and coaches team members in development. Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed. Staffing and scheduling of unit personnel. Conducts leadership rounds and daily audits as assigned. Provides service recovery as needed.


Education Required

Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 1-2 years Neurology Experience
  • 1-2 years Stroke Experience
  • Nursing Experience
  • Leadership Experience
  • Charge Nurse Experience

License and Certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
