Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical First Assist to support our Surgical Services Team in the Main Operating Room at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. Thisis a full time days position.

As a Surgical First Assist for the OR, your responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct assistance to surgeons during surgical procedures.
  • These tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of the surgical suite according to surgeon preference
  • Patient positioning
  • Provide visualizatoin of operative site
  • Utilizes techniques to provide hemostasis
  • Assist with body plan closure
  • Advanced skills as competency tested
  • Participate actively in the safe surgery checklist briefing and debriefing
  • Assists in turnover of operating room
  • Needs personal IPN # and tax code

Experience

  • 2 years Operating Room Experience Required
