Job Summary

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively seeking a Chief Medical Physicist to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. Individuals with a defined focus of radiation oncology, to include radiopharmacology, SRS, and brachytherapy are sought to enhance our program in supporting our three locations in Northeast Florida that are APEx accredited and Novalis Certified for Radiosurgery. The successful candidate will have a five-plus years clinical experience, board certified, have a PhD or MS, and possess excellent communication and writing skills.

Must have greater than five years experience as a medical physicist in a cancer center. Experience in planning with Eclipse and Elements, as well as record and verify systems in both Aria and Mosaiq a plus. Current treatment delivery systems include two TrueBeams, Edge with BrainLab Dynamic, GE Discovery CT Simulator, and GammaMed HDR (intracavitary and interstitial) at our main location. Our two satellite locations both have a TrueBeam and GE Discovery CT Simulator (all of our TrueBeams are beam matched). We offer a wide range of therapy treatments including VMAT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, TBI, TSE, AVM, 4D, DIBH, GammaTile, and HDR. Other systems supported are RGSc, VisionRT, Velocity and physics QA systems/tools are SunNuclear, SRS mapCheck, IC profiler, RadCalc, and IBA 1D and 3D water tanks.

This Chief Medical Physicist Responsibilities include:

• Work with the system RSO ensure quality and safety standards are maintained
• Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements
• Oversee and monitor daily, monthly, and annual QA of treatment delivery and imaging systems
• Facilitate the maintenance of quality assurance programs and commissioning of existing and new radiotherapy equipment
• Work with leadership to enhance the quality care for patients, partake in leadership/partner meetings, and maintaining accreditation
