Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Emergency Department Technician for the Free-Standing Emergency Department located at Baptist Nassau Crossing. This is a Full-Time Evening 11:00 AM-11:00 PM shift opportunity with a commitment of 36 hours per week. This is a hybrid position where you will help with patient care/ procedures and also help at the desk with answering phones, call bells, completing consults, and assisting with admissions/transfers.

As a Emergency Department Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living;
  • Maintaining a safe environment;
  • Collecting lab specimens;
  • Intake and Output monitoring;
  • Electronic medical record documentation;
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Required Or
  • Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required Or
