Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Baptist team as a Health Unit Coordinator on the Maternal Newborn unit. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a PRN various shifts opportunity and is located at Baptist Medical Center Beaches (Jacksonville Beach, Fl).  

We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have confidence working in a clerical role. Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit. 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
  • Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining patient chart folders
  • Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 1-2 years Clerical Experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
