Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity that will work a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Baptist South campus.
The Medical Assistant will cross train as a front office staff to support them as needed. This position requires a candidate to have Coumadin experience as well as strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Medical Assistant, Baptist Cardiology Department, Job Responsibilities:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician.
- Obtains vital signs.
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education.
- Maintains medical documentation.
- Schedules care, treatment, and diagnostic tests, per physician.
- Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests, and referrals.
- Cross trains in front office, referrals area, and other areas.

Experience
- Two Years Patient Care Experience Preferred
