Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Primary Care IMG Baymeadows in Jacksonville, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is for the Baptist Primary Care IMG Baymeadows office. The experienced candidate will room patients and assist provider. The candidate will also respond to the In Basket messages directed to the provider, as well as process Prior Authorizations and certain DME, like diabetic supplies, etc. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy office.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• 2 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
