Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Primary Care Department at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This opening is a full-time opportunity.

This position is for the Baptist Medical Center office. This position is for back office. The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as assisting new provider and rooming patients. Experience inserting catheters are a plus. 

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Provides nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 2 years Patient Care Experience
  • Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Preferred
