Baptist Health is looking to add a highly motivated and skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team working at Baptist Beaches. This is a full-time, day shift working 10 hour shifts, 10:00am - 8:30pm and rotating weekends.
This Medical Laboratory Assistant is a multiskilled individual who may assist with specimen collection and processing, computer registration, order entry, computer accessioning and speciment distribution.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant II, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens.
- Also communicates lab results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collects blood specimens for routine and special lab procedures.
- Utilizes computer functions.

Experience
- Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience
- Specimen Processing Experience
License and Certification
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
