Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to join our team at our new Baptist ED Nassau Crossing. This is a PRN, various shift opportunity.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for: 

• Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
• Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
• Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
• Utilizing computer functions.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

• Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience
• Specimen Processing Experience

License and Certification

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
