Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Nursing Coordinator in Inpatient Behavioral Health at Baptist Medical Center in Downtown Jacksonville. This will be a part-time days position working Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8 hours each day.
As a Nursing Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Book and schedule ECT treatments
- Liaison between psychiatrist, anesthesia, inpatient/outpatient staff and patient.
- Contact utilization management and/or referral coordinator to obtain insurance authorizations.
- Ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete concerning all applicable forms and legal documents prior to each ECT treatment.
- Facilitate and organize in-service educational programs related to ECT.
- Develop, implement and evaluate nursing standards, policy, and procedures for ECT.
- Participate in the development of patient education materials.
- Coordinate and collaborate on quality improvement activities.
Serves as clinical liaison among patients, families, hospital departments, and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
Oversees the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of assigned clinical programs or areas.
Serves as clinical expert for his/her specialty and provides direct clinical care as appropriate.
Assists BH Leadership and key stakeholders in quality/patient safety initiatives and program/business development by designing and implementing innovative growth strategies for the department.

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Master's Degree - Nursing
Experience
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
License and Certification
- Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Registered Nurse Psychiatric and Mental Health Board Certified (RN, BC) Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
